GOING FOR THREE POINTS AT NOU SARDENYA

UE Cornellà travel to face CE Europa B this Saturday (6 pm) at Nou Sardenya, in a match corresponding to Matchday 10 of Group V of the Tercera Federación. The team head into the fixture aiming to get back to winning ways in the league and secure three important points away from home. The team come into the match following a 1-1 draw against FE Grama in the previous round, a result that leaves them on 11 points after nine matches played.

Ahead of the game, centre-back Yeray Izquierdo highlighted the strong team spirit within the dressing room: “The dressing room is very united.” The defender is confident in the team’s chances ahead of the trip to Nou Sardenya and insists that “I am convinced we will come away with all three points.”

Standing in their way will be a CE Europa B side enjoying a good run of form. The hosts have won their last two league matches: first, a convincing 4-1 victory against Vilanova i la Geltrú, followed by a 2-0 win away to Atlètic Lleida last weekend. These results have lifted the Barcelona-based side to third place in the standings with 14 points, and they will be looking to make home advantage count and continue climbing the table.

Nou Sardenya will provide a stern test for the team in a demanding encounter, in which securing all three points would represent an important step forward in the standings.
