CORNELLÀ AIM FOR VICTORY TO REMAIN UNBEATEN

The UE Cornellà men’s first team face the fifth matchday of the league this Saturday, with CF Peralada visiting the Nou Municipal de Cornellà. The Greens have collected six points from their opening four matches and will be looking to return to winning ways while maintaining their unbeaten start to the season.

The team head into the game after a 1-1 draw away at CFJ Mollerussa. The result means the Greens remain unbeaten, with one win and three draws from their first four league matches.

The Mollerussa game also marked Pablo Servetti’s return to competitive action. The centre-forward and one of the team’s captains came on after recovering from injury. “I’m very happy to be back with the team. I’m very pleased to be available to the coach. I really wanted it,” says Servetti.

The striker also highlights the team’s progress at the start of the season and the work being done day by day: “The team is feeling better and better and is reaching the level that the coach and all of us want.” The Uruguayan’s return is one of the positive pieces of news for the team, who head into the fifth matchday looking to make home advantage count.

Standing in their way will be a CF Peralada side that arrives at the Nou Municipal with five points. The Empordà-based team began the season with a 1-1 draw against San Cristóbal, lost 0-1 to Tona and then drew 1-1 away to Vilanova i la Geltrú. In the previous matchday, however, Peralada claimed their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Atlètic Lleida.

The two teams therefore go into the match separated by just one point in the standings, with different results in the previous matchday. Cornellà will look to make the most of home advantage and claim another victory, while Peralada will aim to build on their win from last weekend.

The match will be played this Saturday, 3 October, at 6:15 p.m. at the Nou Municipal de Cornellà. The Greens head into the fifth matchday aiming to continue their development, maintain their unbeaten record and secure three points in front of their home supporters.
