CORNELLÀ LOOK TO RETURN TO WINNING WAYS AT HOME

UE Cornellà’s men’s first team take on San Juan Atlético de Montcada this Sunday in matchday seven of Group 5 of the Tercera RFEF. The Greens return to the Nou Municipal aiming to get back to winning ways in front of their home supporters and make home advantage count.

To achieve this, Ignasi Senabre’s side will be looking to put their recent results behind them after drawing 1–1 at home against CF Peralada and suffering a narrow 1–0 defeat away to Pobla de Mafumet in a match decided in the closing stages. The Greens will aim to turn their positive performances into three points and get back to winning ways.

Standing in their way is San Juan Atlético de Montcada, who also head into the match following a defeat, having lost 0–3 to Atlètic Lleida. The Montcada-based side have recorded two wins in their first five league matches and will be looking to bounce back at the Nou Municipal.

Ahead of the match, Víctor Aliaga expressed his confidence in the team’s work and its ability to turn chances into positive results: “We believe our game is coming together. We’re creating seven or eight clear-cut chances per match, and it’s only a matter of time.” The player also highlighted the importance of playing at home as the team looks to take a step forward: “It’s always great to play at home, and this is where we need to make ourselves strong.”

The match will take place this Sunday, 18 October, at 6:00 pm at the Nou Municipal de Cornellà. As part of the agreement between the two clubs, tickets for San Juan Atlético de Montcada members will cost €5.
